GOD is all-knowing means He knows everything. GOD is supremely capable, which means He is capable of doing everything. If these two things are engrossed in our minds then all our anxiety will end immediately.
GOD is all-knowing means there is no need to tell Him my distress because GOD automatically knows everything. GOD is supremely capable, which means He is capable of doing everything. GOD can remove my distress whenever He wants, within moments. If these two things are engrossed in our minds then we can immediately overcome our anxiety.
Why anxiety bothers us because we do not believe that there is anyone who can share our concerns or there is anyone capable of redressing our concerns. When we feel that there is no one to support us in our anxiety and no one has the ability to eradicate our anxiety then our anxiety increases and we become more disappointed.
But when we take the shelter of GOD and we are aware that GOD is all-knowing, nothing is hidden from Him, He knows everything and He is supremely capable then our anxiety gets redressed immediately.
There is a need to understand the fact that GOD being all-knowing and supremely capable gives us so much comfort. GOD being all-knowing reaffirms to us that there is no need to tell anything to GOD because He knows everything. Things are to be told to those who do not know. GOD is all-knowing, therefore, there is no need to tell Him anything. Secondly, GOD is supremely capable and He is capable of doing everything. There is no one in this world who is supremely capable of doing everything. Supremely capable is only GOD. There is nothing that GOD cannot do. When a person trapped in severe distress contemplates supremely capable GOD, then he believes that it is only GOD who can free him from the distress.
Therefore the creature should develop a relationship with all-knowing and supremely capable GOD through devotion then only he can cross all worldly distress without effort.
King Shri Parikshitji gave a live example of this and mentioned that in the battle of Mahabharata, Kauravas had very strong and powerful fighters with them and had even bigger army than the Pandavas. But then too, because of GOD, Pandavas won the battle with such ease like the ease we have in crossing the pit made by the foot of calf of a Mother Cow.
From the countless virtues of GOD, these two qualities – being all-knowing and being supremely capable automatically makes the devotees free from all worries. Anxiety is there when we know that there is no one who knows our grieves and no one who has the power to remove our grieves. But when GOD knows everything and is capable of doing everything then there is no reason to worry.
