TRANSLATION OF WRITE-UP IN ENGLISH - GOD said the above words to Shri Arjunji.

Believing that GOD is the supreme and the ultimately loved, we should put our intellect and mind in GOD. Putting mind and intellect in GOD means that we should remove them from the world and firmly establish them in GOD and decide in this life that for me supreme, ultimately best and ultimately loving is only and only GOD. With such firm determination, the importance of the world and the contemplation of the world will end and our relationship with GOD will be established.

By applying the mind and intellect in the subjects of the world, GOD cannot be attained. By putting our mind and intellect in GOD with the determination of attaining GOD in our life, our human life becomes successful. It is GOD who provides the power to succeed with such a decision of life. The effect of this determination is such that it makes GOD ours. In this verse, GOD clearly tells Shri Arjunji that the person who puts his mind and intellect in GOD will reside in the heart of GOD and there is no doubt in it.

The creature thinks that the performance of good deeds and good conduct will automatically lead him to GOD but GOD says that until the creatures do not put their mind and intellect in GOD, there is doubt in attaining GOD. But once the creature puts his mind and intellect in GOD, he surely attains GOD, there is no doubt in it. When our mind and intellect are fully and finally engrossed in GOD, at the same time, GOD will give us rest in His Divine Lotus Feet.

Our mind and intellect are the property of GOD because we are part of GOD but we have attached our mind and intellect with the world and not with GOD. When we break the relationship of our mind and intellect from the world, then their continuous relationship with GOD is automatically established.

GIST FOR ALL RELIGIONS

TRANSLATION OF WRITE-UP IN ENGLISH - GOD said the above words to Shri Arjunji.

In this verse, GOD has advised the practice of devotion to stabilize our mind and intellect in GOD. In this verse, GOD has rendered devotion and said that it is the most suitable means for stabilizing our mind and intellect in GOD. When we practice devotion in life then all of our senses are engaged in the service of GOD.

In devotion, we see the idol of GOD from our eyes. In devotion, we chant the name of GOD with our tongue. In devotion, we hear the pastimes of GOD with ears. In devotion, we serve GOD with our hands. In devotion, we use our legs to go to the pilgrimages and temple of GOD. In this way, every part of the body performs the service of GOD and all of our senses also are engaged with GOD in this manner.

When our senses connect with GOD, then their worldly attraction automatically gets destroyed. When our senses connect with GOD, our mind and intellect also become centered in GOD. Apart from devotion, there are no other means that remove us from the world and connect us with GOD with so ease. Therefore, GOD has clearly said in this verse that if a creature cannot stabilize his mind in GOD he should undertake the devotional path without any delay.

When a seeker walks on the path of devotion, then GOD does not let him go astray and lets him come towards Himself. Devotion is the most beloved path of GOD, therefore, GOD has rendered only devotion here. The creatures must walk without hesitation on the path of devotion to attain GOD.

GIST FOR ALL RELIGIONS
  1. The devotional path is the easiest means to attain GOD wherein all our senses, mind and intellect gets engaged in GOD.

TRANSLATION OF WRITE-UP IN ENGLISH - GOD said the above words to Shri Arjunji.

In the episode of Bhakti Yoga of this twelfth chapter, GOD has explained the symptoms of the devotees from the thirteenth to nineteenth verse who have purposely tried for attaining GOD. The opinion of GOD is that the person whose mind is steadfast in the matter of Parmarth (charity) is very dear to GOD. GOD has left no stone unturned to address such devotees to be His beloved. According to Saint Shri Gyaneshwarji, GOD contemplates such devotees, the worship of such devotees is the worship of GOD and GOD does not consider anyone better or superior other than such devotees.

In the devotion, GOD pleasingly gives His love to the devotee. The devotee puts the received love back to GOD to love Him more. GOD gets pleased with this action of that devotee and again gives him more love. The devotee then again puts this love in GOD even more. In this way, the ever-growing love between devotees and GOD becomes increasingly exchanged.

Many qualities of perfect devotees are described by GOD in this chapter. As a summary, we should understand that the objective of the devotee should not be to acquire wealth, honor, magnificence, respect, hospitality, collection and enjoying the comfort, etc., but the only purpose should be to attain GOD. The devotee should keep in mind that, for some reason, if some faulty instinct does arise in his life, he should make an effort to remove it from his life with urgency. If it cannot be removed through efforts then he should distractingly pray to GOD to remove it.

The path of devotion is truly immortal path and those who sincerely follow it are very dear to GOD. In this verse, by describing His devotee as His dear most, GOD had rendered the superiority of devotion amongst all the means.

TRANSLATION OF WRITE-UP IN ENGLISH - GOD said the above words to Shri Arjunji.

GOD is present everywhere, this fact has been rendered here. Wherever we want to offer anything to GOD through devotion, the Divine Hands of GOD are present in that place to accept it. Whether the devotee wants to offer something from the outside or from the mind, wants to offer from the east side or from the west, wants to offer from the north side or from the south, the Divine Hands of GOD are present everywhere to receive it.

This fact should be understood in another way. The Divine Hands of GOD are always present on the spot everywhere to protect the devotee in the water, in the earth, in the fire, or anywhere else if he is trapped in distress and he calls GOD. GOD does not have to come from anywhere to protect the devotee because GOD is present everywhere at the same time.

Similarly, wherever the devotee wants to bow to the Divine Lotus Feet of GOD, they are present in the same place. According to his emotions, wherever the devotee contemplates the Divine Lotus Feet of GOD, at the same place they are present. In the same way, we should understand that whatever we are doing the Divine Eyes of GOD are there and they are watching us. Any creature in any situation can never be lost by the view of GOD. Wherever we develop a desire to offer something to GOD, we will find the Divine Mouth of GOD there. GOD accepts the thing offered by devotees by devotion at the same place. Likewise, the devotee, when he prays either loudly or slowly, the Divine Ears of GOD listens to him.

Having the Hands, Feet, Eyes, Head, Mouth and Ears of GOD everywhere means that GOD is not far away from any creature. GOD is fully present in every country, time, object, person, event and circumstance, etc.

GIST FOR ALL RELIGIONS

TRANSLATION OF WRITE-UP IN ENGLISH - GOD said the above words to Shri Arjunji.

On request of Shri Arjunji, GOD described about Satogun, Rajogun and Tamogun in the fourteenth chapter of Shrimad Bhagavad Geetaji. Then on the request of Shri Arjunji, GOD told the characteristics of the person away from these three qualities called as Gunatit (devoid of attributes or properties). Then what GOD has said is most important. GOD says that the creature who does nothing, only contemplates GOD by devotion, he crosses the three qualities and becomes eligible to attain GOD.

The devotion of GOD is very simple and the devotee of GOD easily attains GOD by crossing the three qualities with great ease. GOD has stated that devotion is the best way to be a Gunatit. When we do not take any help of any other means and accept the shelter and support of GOD in Bhaktiyog and believe in GOD and have faith in GOD, then we do not have to encroach the qualities to be a Gunatit. By the grace of GOD, the quality of life automatically gets encroached.

By the grace of GOD, then the person becomes eligible for attaining GOD by the encroachment of the qualities. In other words, GOD has described devotion as the simplest and most successful means to attain GOD. GOD has emphasized here that the person who seeks GOD by devotion is not required to undertake any other means to become eligible for GOD's attainment because he automatically becomes eligible for attaining GOD. GOD's attainment is self-realized for such a devotee performing such a means of devotion.

The devotion automatically makes us eligible to attain GOD. Therefore, the creature should take the shelter of devotion in life after getting birth as a human being. There is no other superior and simpler way of achieving GOD other than devotion.

TRANSLATION OF WRITE-UP IN ENGLISH - GOD said the above words to Shri Arjunji.

Due to being a part of GOD, the only real relation of the creature is with GOD. It is a rule that from where bondage is there, we have to attain freedom from there. The creature is bonded in the human species therefore he can seek freedom in the human species only. Having a relationship with the world makes us slow to relate to GOD thereby depriving us of a special benefit of doing chanting, kirtan, self-study, etc. Therefore, GOD has clearly stated in Shrimad Bhagavad Geetaji that the seeker should prioritize the disintegration of their relationship with the world.

I am only of GOD and only GOD is mine, we should remain firm on this reality in life. The creature is a part of GOD but because of having a relationship with the world, he has forgotten his constant relationship with his whole part GOD. The seeker who gets awakened does not have any connection with the world and also never relinquishes his relation with GOD. In fact, there can be a feeling of GOD only when the relationship with the world is broken.

No other relationship or shelter other than GOD is sustainable in life. This feeling should be in the life that I am only of GOD and only for GOD. The end of the long path can come but the end of the round path will never come. Having a relationship with the world is like being born as a crusher bull that takes birth and attains death and again after death takes birth and thus going around the round path where there is no end to it.

Therefore, in this verse GOD has called the world as a tree and has said that it should be cut off from the weapon of detachment, that is, we should break our relationship with this world. Only then will we know our constant relationship with GOD and efforts will be made in our life to attain GOD.

GIST FOR ALL RELIGIONS

TRANSLATION OF WRITE-UP IN ENGLISH - GOD said the above words to Shri Arjunji.

GOD says that those who become free from attachment and repute and get rid of desires and dualities of sorrows and happiness, those seekers who are called devotees by GOD, attain GOD. It is worth noting here that our own attachment should be with GOD alone. Attraction in GOD is love but an attraction in the world is an indulgence. Due to attachment with GOD, the devotee has no interest in worldly pleasures.

If there are desires left in life, we can never attain GOD. Therefore, desires should be retired from life and we should not entertain their fulfillment. Whatever the situation comes that is pleasure, grief, joy, anger, hatred and favorable or unfavorable circumstances, the devotee considers them as offerings given by GOD. From their vision, they only see the grace of GOD and whatever happens in their life, they consider it a beautiful law of their beloved GOD. Therefore, devotees are always happy with the law of GOD.

We are part of GOD, therefore the dwelling of GOD is our real home. We should try by devotion in our human life that we reach the real home which is the dwelling of GOD, from where we would never have to come back to the world again. As long as we do not reach our home, that is, the dwelling of GOD, we will continue to roam in many species like a traveler. Wandering in different species will only stop when we will reach the real home which is the dwelling of GOD. Only with the devotion of GOD, the path to attain the dwelling of GOD can be found. This is the specialty of devotion that we can reach the dwelling of GOD only and only through devotion.

Therefore, by taking the dependence of devotion in life and forgetting the world, we should move ahead with the aim of attaining the dwelling of GOD.

TRANSLATION OF WRITE-UP IN ENGLISH - GOD said the above words to Shri Arjunji.

The compassionate GOD clearly states in this verse that every creature in the world is the eternal part of GOD. Here GOD reveals the reality that the creature is only and only a part of GOD. The creature is not a part of the world but of GOD. Just as a lion's cub joins a herd of sheep and begins to consider himself as a sheep, similarly, we meet the world and begin to think of ourselves as of the world. Just as a lion's cub does not become a sheep after joining them, similarly, the creatures do not become of the world after joining the world.

Just like the other lion comes to the lion's cub and makes him realize that he is a lion with the shape, nature, caste and roar, similarly, GOD also teaches us that the creature is a part of GOD. There has never been a permanent relation of the creature with the world, nor is it there, neither it can be, nor it will be. The creature should follow his worldly duties just like the farce of the play but he is only of the GOD, he should always remember this reality. We should always keep our mind and intellect focused on GOD forever but our misfortune is that we keep them in the world.

As the drama's actor performs all the actions of the drama in front of the world but they are all external. From inside he knows that it is all a farce and in fact what he is doing is not true. Similarly, the devotee must follow his duties in the drama of the world in the form of the farce of the play but from within, this feeling must be kept firm and he should be aware that he is only of GOD. The creature is of GOD in the eternal form because GOD has never abandoned the creature and has never been away from the creature.

Just as there is gold in the gold ornaments, there is only GOD form in the creature. GOD is so generous, kind and considerate that even if the creature forgets his part, GOD never goes away from the creature. Therefore, achieving the supreme GOD of whom the creature is a part is the greatest benefit in the life of the creature.

TRANSLATION OF WRITE-UP IN ENGLISH - GOD said the above words to Shri Arjunji.

GOD has mainly said two things here. GOD is situated in the heart of all creatures. Although GOD is present at all places in our body, the senses, mind and intellect, however GOD has said here that He is especially present in our heart. It is clear from this that GOD resides in the heart very close to each of us. Therefore, we should have intense desire, passion and anxiety to attain GOD because GOD is situated nearest to us in the heart.

Even after being part of GOD and nearest to GOD, the creature forgets GOD and turns away from GOD and begins to accept his relationship with the world. In this verse, the statement of GOD is to deliver the real knowledge of GOD and to let us achieve Him in this life.

The second thing that GOD has said is that the only knowable is GOD. After knowing GOD, nothing remains to be known. Whatever is known in life without knowing GOD, is all a waste of effort. Even here, it has been said that even after reading the Shri Vedas, who did not know GOD, that simp would be considered as just the bearer of the burden of Shri Vedas. It is the principle that only GOD is knowable by entire Shri Vedas, Holy Texts and the Scriptures. The only purpose of all is that there should be the identification of the creature with GOD and the creature should associate himself with GOD.

We should become curious about GOD in life. Apart from GOD, there is no other element in the universe, nor can it be. GOD is situated in all living beings and is the only knowable in the world.

TRANSLATION OF WRITE-UP IN ENGLISH - GOD said the above words to Shri Arjunji.

GOD actually nourishes the entire creatures of the three worlds. As long as the creature does not recognize his continuous eternal relationship with GOD, the creature does not realize this fact. The creature mistakenly accepts their relationship with the world and for this reason, they consider the burden of their nourishment on their own. But the sheltered devotee of GOD only understands this fact that only GOD is nurturing all.

Just as worldly parents do everything for a newborn but that newborn does not have any knowledge of who, how and why he has been nurtured. Similarly, those who are not connected with GOD by devotion do not know who is nurturing them in reality. GOD is the Supreme Father of all and equally nurtures all devotees and non-devotees, sinners and Godly persons, theist and atheists.

Just as GOD Shri SuryaNarayanji (Sun) gives light to everyone equally, similarly, GOD nurtures everyone equally. There is no one in all the three worlds who can say that I am responsible for my own nourishment. The one who believes so is ignorant and foolish. An ant is also nurtured by GOD and an atheist is also nurtured by GOD. Both of them wake up with an empty stomach in the morning but the arrangements of both are done by GOD and in the night both of them sleep with a full stomach. Nurturing a newborn baby who does not have any knowledge of himself, GOD does the same by imbibing affection in the mind of his earthly parents and making them the medium of doing so.

GOD has been nurturing us for ages and ages in every species. This gift of GOD should always be remembered as a debt from which we can never be indebted.

TRANSLATION OF WRITE-UP IN ENGLISH - GOD said the above words to Shri Arjunji.

GOD is famous in all the places and in the Shri Vedas as Purushottam. There is no one in the three worlds bigger than GOD and therefore GOD is Purushottam. The Purushottam form of GOD has been described in Shri Vedas. GOD is known as the supreme soul, supreme man and Purushottam. The word supreme soul itself gives the reference of Purushottam. It should be understood that GOD is singular and unique and so is called as Purushottam in all the places and Shri Vedas.

When we begin to know Purushottam GOD in true form, then we experience our differences from the world and our assumed relationship with the world then breaks. Then we experience our true relationship with GOD. Believing your relationship with the world is a misconception and a flaw. The person whose idiocy has been completely destroyed starts undertaking the devotion of Purushottam GOD by considering Him as the paramount.

No stretch with the world should stay in life and with firmness we should consider our only relationship with GOD. Whose only relationship is with GOD alone, he in all respects gets devoted to GOD alone in his life. Such a creature removes his mind from the world and focuses it on GOD. Then that creature undertakes the devotion of GOD by his intellect, instinct and action. Then all the actions of that devotee are for the sake of the happiness of GOD. It is the principle that if we consider GOD holding the supreme position in our life then we will offer our life only in the devotion of GOD.

The Scriptures have clearly said that the one who does not know GOD in his life is foolish and who knows GOD, is only worthy to be called as human. The person who knows GOD is always engaged in the devotion of GOD because in his view everything is GOD.

TRANSLATION OF WRITE-UP IN ENGLISH - GOD said the above words to Shri Arjunji.

When our attraction and affection are developed for GOD because of devotion, then we become dedicated to GOD. In this way, our devotion gives us the real perception of GOD. By devotion, our mind becomes attached to GOD and the devotion firmly connects our relationship with GOD in a unique sense. Due to devotion, GOD becomes our ultimate shelter.

GOD appears in many forms, in many shapes along with His powers again and again. The same GOD is treated by all the sects according to their own feelings. The same GOD remains in different favored forms for all living beings. Actually, GOD is only one. Due to devotion, only the devotee understands this principle and believes it. GOD says that the person who believes and understands this immediately enters in Him, which means that the feeling of differentiation is eroded forever.

The person who knows the essence of GOD because of devotion, only his life is meaningful and complete. GOD becomes the center of attraction for such a devotee. Then his attraction from the world ends and when this happens, his passion, desire, hope and carving are all destroyed. When this happens, his mind becomes attached to GOD and due to devotion, his real love develops for GOD. With exclusive devotion, the devotee enters GOD and even visualizes GOD. When the devotion and love for GOD become complete, then there is nothing left to do, to know and to achieve for that creature.

Therefore, from the very beginning, we should proceed on the devotional path, so that after knowing the elements of GOD, the way to attain GOD opens in life and we can visualize GOD in life.
